The SBHCs provides education to students and staff, both individually and in the classroom.  St. Mary's Regional Medical Center works closely with the SBHCs to provide speakers to discuss a variety of popular topics with students.  We have presented on a broad array of topics including cancer and cancer prevention, depression, eating disorders, pregnancy and contraception, sexually transmitted infections, and sexuality.  Students can make an appointment to meet with the nurse practitioner to discuss their concerns, for example:

  • pregnancy options
  • nutrition and fitness
  • smoking cessation
