Nancy Fredette, Registered Respiratory Therapist, obtained her Associates Degree in Allied Health Science at Southern Maine Community College in 1984.  Mrs. Fredette has over 20 years of experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist at SMRMC.  She is certified in BCLS, ACLS, and CPFT (certified pulmonary function technician).  Nancy has been part of the Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation team since 2000.  Her responsibilities include providing educational and physical instruction to patients enrolled in the Cardiopulmonary Rehab program and educating the medical staff and the community at large regarding prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of cardiopulmonary diseases.

Carrie Harlow, Exercise Physiologist, CSCS, graduated from the University of Southern Maine in 2002 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Physiology.  Carrie is certified through the National Strength and Conditioning Association as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist.  She is also BLS and ACLS certified.

Carrie joined St. Mary's Health System in May 2006 in the Center for Physical Rehabilitation department.  During her time with St. Mary's she has assisted the Prevention and Wellness department by teaching education and exercise classes for Health Steps and by participating in the Take Charge! screenings.  Carrie transitioned to the Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation team in September 2008, where she conducts education sessions and provides exercise guidance to the cardiopulmonary rehabilitation patients.

mackenzie_lisaLisa MacKenzie, RN, graduated from St. Mary's School of Nursing in 1979.  She has 15 years of experience in the ICCU, which helped prepare her for Cardiopulmonary Rehab.  She spent many years working in the Cardiac Cath Lab and doing Cardiac Stress Testing.  Lisa has been working in Cardiopulmonary Rehab since January 1995.  She counsels patients on Anatomy and Physiology of the Heart, Heart Disease, Diagnostic Testing, and Risk Factors.  She is the liaison nurse between ST. Mary's and the Maine Heart Center at Maine Medical Center.  She is also the nurse care manager for the Healing Hearts Heart Failure Program.  She is certified in BLS and ACLS.
