Class 1 - What is Diabetes?
A registered nurse will explain what diabetes is and teach you to manage your diabetes to prevent problems. You will also learn about high and low blood sugar and blood sugar testing, and when to call your doctor.

Class 2 - Meal Planning
A registered dietitian will review diabetes meal planning with you. You will learn about eating out, sick days and grocery shopping.

Class 3 - Blood Sugar Testing and Managing Your Medications
A registered pharmacist will talk about pills, insulin and other medications. Also, a registered physical therapist will talk about exercise and how to begin or continue with your exercise program.

Class 4 - General Factors
In the final class, we will talk about the necessary resources to manage your diabetes.
