The Mind Body Program for Cancer at St. Mary's is designed to complement the medical treatment you are receiving for your cancer or to assist you when your treatment is complete.

The program focuses on relaxation techniques, nutrition, increasing energy, and coping with physical and emotional side effects of cancer and cancer treatment.

Program includes:
- Initial Consultation
- Ten Weekly 60 to 90 Minute Sessions
- Essential Educational and Reference Materials
- Relaxation CD


Program Costs:
- Initial Consultation (usually covered by insurance)
- $300 ten group sessions

The cost of the group sessions may be reimbursed by some insurances.

Program Director
Anne Brown, MD has been an internist at St. Mary's Medical Associates in Lewiston since 1996. She attended medical school at University of Vermont and completed her residency at the Ocshner Foundation in New Orleans, Louisiana. Dr. Brown completed mind-body training at the Benson-Henry Institute, an affiliate of Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School. She completes her fellowship training at the University of Arizona in December 2014 to become a specialist in Integrated Medicine. She is also a cancer survivor.
