Operating Room

At St. Mary's Regional Medical Center, we have a tradition of excellence in clinical care that has earned us a reputation as healthcare leaders in our community. Based on feedback from surgeons, clinicians, and our patient advisory council, we've recently created new physical spaces in surgical services including, Pre-Admission Testing (PAT), Operating Rooms (OR), Pharmacy, Laboratory, and Rehabilitation.
In addition, we streamlined our procedures and protocols in these areas. Our goal is to provide efficient, high quality care at a reasonable cost, while remaining ever faithful to our commitment to deliver patient-and family-centered care.

Increased Efficiency:
New technology will enable us to increase efficiencies, which reduces the anesthesia time, O.R. time, and reduces the risk of infection, hypothermia, and other complications.
Added Technology:
A newly added pathology microscope enables the pathologist and surgeon to compare and discuss any issues with their findings from the tissue specimen to what is being seen intraoperatively.
Lower Cost:
More efficient surgical methods equal less O.R. time, which results in smaller bills for your patients.
Infection Control:
An air curtain system controls airborne particulates creating a Class 1 environment inside the sterile field, as defined by the American College of Physicians and Surgeons. This contemporary ventilation system will greatly reduce the chance of infection.
