The St. Mary's Center for Hyperbaric and Wound Care offers a multi-disciplinary approach to healing wounds. The special unit at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center is made up of a group of professionals who work as a team to give you comprehensive treatments for wound healing. The doctors are board certified. The nurses have undergone special training in wound care and hyperbarics. St. Mary's Center for Hyperbaric and Wound Care has three of the only seven hyperbaric chambers in Maine. These state-of-the-art chambers deliver 100% oxygen to patients in an environment of increased atmospheric pressure.

These are used for patients that have either diabetic foot wounds, venous leg ulcers or
have failed to progress after 4 weeks of standard wound care therapy.
