Postpartum Class/Early Parenting (6:00 pm - 8:30 pm)
Post Partum class for new families and soon to be new families.
The information in this class is based on our new web based booklet entitled Mother and New Baby Care which parents will get a copy of at this class.
Main points we will cover in this class is:
Changes that happen with your body after birth
Mom's emotions
Care of the baby (bathing, diapering, calming,)
Simplyfying the first month
There is no fee for this class
Class will be held in the Bank of America Room

Childbirth Preparation 2 Day (6:00 pm - 8:30 pm)
Friday Evening 6 to 8:30 pm and Saturday, 11:00 am to 3:00 pm. This two day class is a condensed, intense program based on our 6-week series for expectant parents in the seventh month of pregnancy. It is designed to prepare you for one of the most important events of your life. The course will include:
· Breathing and relaxation techniques
· Labor and delivery process
· Role of the support person
· Expectations and birth plan
· Caesarean birth
· Tour of the Women's Health Pavilion Birthing Unit

Prenatal Yoga (6:45 pm - 7:45 pm)
This class is a program geared for women in the second and third trimesters of pregnancy. Tisha Bremner will gently guide expectant mothers through these classes where they will learn postures and breathing techniques to invite deep relaxation, conquer fatigue, stretch, strengthen, and prepare their changing bodies for childbirth. Students will also have an introduction to a guided meditation practice. Preregistration is required. No prior yoga experience is necessary.
Yoga students need to bring a pillow, 1 or 2 blankets, a yoga strap, and a water bottle. Wear loose, comfortable clothing and avoid eating a heavy meal one hour before class.
