The Nursing Restorative Program at St. Mary’s d'Youville Pavilion helps to maintain or restore physical functioning in the elders who reside here.  Restorative Nursing Programs such as; ambulation, therapeutic feeding, range of motion, swallowing and dressing/grooming are delivered to the customers by Certified Nursing Assistants who are specially trained in such care.

The goals set for each resident are specific, measurable, and evaluated monthly.  There have been many success stories as a result of this program, which maintains and improves the quality of life for residents at d'Youville Pavilion.  For example, the Restorative Aides have taken a resident who required total assistance for transfers with a mechanical lift to a point where they could transfer with minimal assistance and even walk again!  This service is available seven days a week.
