Our
Mission
Our Mission
is to continue the healing ministry of the Catholic Church in the
Spirit of St. Marguerite d'Youville by providing preventive, curative,
restorative, and supportive services with compassion and respect
for everyone.
We commit to these values as guides to our
decisions and behavior:
Respect
The intentional affirmation that all human beings are gifted with
life and uniqueness and deserve to be treated with dignity. We create
and maintain an atmosphere of trust. We support through our words
and actions, decisions made by the team and organization. We value
individual and cultural differences. We are open to change and willing
to compromise. We are timely in all our endeavors.
Excellence
The deliberate effort toward achieving outcomes of the highest quality
while striving for innovation and continual improvement. We endorse
and expect creativity, risk-taking and life-long learning. We continually
strive to determine and meet the needs of those we serve and measure
how we perform. We collaborate with each other and those we serve
to achieve common objectives. We maximize our contributions and
celebrate our successes.
Compassion
The individualized and personalized caring and comforting offered
through our holistic presence as health care providers. We build
productive and trusting relationships by speaking our hearts and
minds. We listen with sensitivity to others' viewpoints, making
every effort to hear rather than to judge. We recognize the need
to balance spirit and humor and maintain perspective in our work.
We carry out our mission by seeking opportunities for participation
within the communities in which we live and work.
Stewardship
The responsible and accountable use of all our human, material,
and financial resources. We maximize our resources through effective
management of our time, budgetary and staffing requirements. We
hold ourselves accountable for our performance and that of our departments.
We involve the staff in development and implementation of our goals.
We publicly support and emphasize the strengths of the Sisters of
Charity Health System.
