Adult Addiction Inpatient Unit

The Adult Addiction Unit provides hospital treatment to adults, aged 18 and older, with alcohol and/or other drug addiction problems including methadone withdrawal.

We treat people who have a psychiatric condition and/or medical condition along with their addiction. We use buprenorphine for most patients with opiate addiction. Our mission is to restore hope and self-integrity to those individuals who are chemically dependent and/or dually diagnosed with a mental illness, in a respectful and caring manner, while emphasizing a holistic approach to care.

Our inter-disciplinary team consists of board certified psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, registered nurses, a board certified chaplain, master level clinicians, registered and licensed alcohol and drug counselors, certified recreational therapists, behavioral technicians, unit secretary, and recovery volunteers.

The three phases of treatment available while on the unit are detox, recovery and rehabilitation. Levels are determined by individual goals and motivation for continued recovery.

This is a voluntary unit and though the aftercare goal of abstinence is recommended, it is not required. We treat people not ready to commit to total abstinence.

• A smoke free environment with nicotine replacement options to stop smoking during the stay and upon discharge if desired,
  
• An individualized client centered treatment approach to meet individual needs,
  
• Education, support, and counseling in groups, individual sessions, and family sessions are available to assist in the family recovery process,
  
• A 12-step recovery approach with outside 12-step meetings when possible, and
  
• Supportive aftercare planning to further a recovery environment.

Visiting Hours are 5:45 - 6:45 PM Monday - Friday, and 3:00 - 5:00 PM Saturday, Sunday & Holidays.
