St. Mary's Regional Medical Center began offering outpatient services over 30 years ago. With recent advances in surgery procedures and anesthesia, many surgeries performed today allow the patient to recover and return home on the same day.

Outpatient surgery, when appropriate, has proven to reduce costs, reduce stress for the patient, speed up the process of healing, and reduce the time lost from work and family life. Outpatient surgery is also called "day surgery," "in-and-out surgery" and "ambulatory surgery". We are proud of St. Mary's state-of-the-art outpatient facility located in the heart of our full-service medical center.
