The Brain Tumor Board provides
a multi-disciplinary evaluation and treatment approach with involvement
from neurosurgery, neurology, neuro-oncology, inter-ventional radiology
and social services. It provides specific protocols for management
of the disease process and for the treatment of primary benign or
malignant brain tumors, as well as metastatic malignant brain tumors.
Patients are offered advance treatment regimens
for brain tumors, including frameless stereotactic volumetric resections
and innovative chemotherapy protocols such as the use of intra-arterial
Cisplatin and BCNU copolymers. National treatment protocols, such
as offered by ECOG, are also available.
