daffodilsMarieGeorgetteGildaApproximately 300 adult and junior volunteers comprise the volunteer staff at St. Mary's Health System. Our volunteers are ordinary people, just like you, with a desire to help others, a professional attitude, and a willingness to learn new things. The Volunteer Services Department recruits and coordinates all activities and projects through its Volunteer Program, offering flexible scheduling and a variety of opportunities.

The following is representative of some of the areas needing volunteer support:

  • Errand services
  • Flower, patient, and administrative mail delivery
  • Clerical
  • Valet Parking Services

Junior Volunteer Program

This is structured as a summer program primarily, although trained junior volunteers may choose to continue their volunteer work in the after-school program as well. New junior volunteer applications are accepted January 1 through May 1 every year. Interviews are held in May, and orientations and training starts in June. This program fills up quickly.
