Thank an OT Today

Occupational Therapists (OTs) and Occupational Therapist Assistants (OTAs) are professionals who help people across the lifespan participate in the things they want and need to do every day. Sometimes people need occupational therapy to do things we take for granted, such as, getting dressed, being productive at school or work, shopping, preparing a meal, eating unassisted, even socializing.  OT’s and OTA’s holistic and customized approach to evaluations, interventions, and outcomes help people with impairments and/or disabilities participate in school, work, and social situations, assist with injury to regain skills, and aid older adults to stay as independent as possible.

If you have questions about the Occupational Therapy profession, please ask one of our full-time acute care therapists (Laurie Russell and Jeremy Dix) or outpatient therapist at the Auburn Medical Office Building (Alison Almlov Fenton and Diane Robarge).
