The Cecile J. Coulombe Emergency Center offers a full spectrum of emergency care. We have built strong relationships with tertiary hospitals to ensure the best possible care for patients. Quick diagnosis and appropriate treatments provide optimal care.
The Emergency Center is staffed 24 hours per day with Emergency Medicine Physicians. The team is made up of specially trained nurses,Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners. Many specialties such as cardiology, neurology, orthopedists, and psychiatrist are available around the clock to assist in the care of our patients.
The Emergency Center also serves behavioral/mental health clientele. We have a strong working relationship with many area programs and Tri County Mental Health Services. Our hospital's tertiary system allows access to inpatient child/adolescence psychiatric services as well as adult psychiatric services and chemical dependency.
There is a separate entrance, waiting, and treatment areas for behavioral patients. Furthermore, the layout separates adult from pediatric behavioral patients to provide more individualized/specific care.
The Emergency Center consists of 30 private exam rooms, separated by walls instead of curtains. The rooms are larger, so patients and their families will be more comfortable. The added space also allows the latest technology to be placed at the bedside.
