Home Sleep Studies

When a sleep study is needed, many patients are able to utilize the WatchPAT device to conduct a sleep study at home, in their very own bedroom.  This option allows for an inexpensive and convenient assessment for OSA. By studying sleep patterns in your own environment, we are able to monitor patterns that are typical of your routine sleep.  You gain the benefits of professional monitoring, in the comfort of your home.

What does the WatchPAT device look like?

The WatchPAT device is very similar to a watch that is worn on your wrist and is attached to monitors at the base of your neck (below your chin) and your index finger on the same hand you wear the watch.

Many other devices used for home sleep studies are quite bulky, with multiple attachments. We believe that the itamar WatchPAT offers the most comfortable solution for home sleep studies and that the simple design is easy for patients to use.  The ability to easily operate the device results in high success rates of sleep study results. When we have successful results, we have the ability to accurately diagnose your sleep issues and help you sleeping better more quickly. This has a positive impact on nearly all areas of your health.
